The last couple of weeks haven't been kind to Charlotte FC, as they suffered a 3-0 home defeat two weeks ago, before losing in extra time last week in New York. The good news is that they start a stretch of home games, starting with Portland this Saturday as The Crown will play 4 of their next 5 games at Bank of America Stadium, a place that is often kind to Charlotte.

The Panthers had an eventful 2024 draft as Dan Morgan wheeled and dealt on all 3 days with multiple trades. Trevor Sikkema of PFF joined Kyle Bailey as he weighed in on the Panthers draft haul on all 3 days. Despite Xavier Legette being the first pick for Carolina, Trevor aimed the Panthers selecting Texas […]

This past weekend saw former Panthers LB Dan Morgan complete his first NFL draft for the same team that drafted him 23 years ago. Joe Person of The Athletic joined Kyle Bailey to break down the biggest moves made by the Panthers in the 2024 draft. The first topic broached by Joe was the trade […]

Just like that, the 2024 NFL Draft is in the books for all 32 teams around the NFL, after the event was held in Detroit over the weekend. When you spend four and a half months preparing for it, you forget that it's just a three-day event, and then it's on to the draft, kind of like recruiting in college football or basketball. The Panthers made picks in every round of the draft, which was impressive considering they entered the draft, without draft capital in certain rounds. Their headliner is first-round wide receiver, Xavier Legette, who will bring a versatile target to Carolina, in hopes of revamping the passing game, with second-year quarterback, Bryce Young.

The Panthers put a bow on their 2024 NFL Draft class over the weekend as they selected six new players over the final two days in Detroit. While many national analysts may not have been thrilled with the class, there is a lot more positivity here locally about what the team did. Here is a […]

In a surprising move last night, the Panthers traded into the first round to draft South Carolina wide receiver Xavier Legette, their favorite wide receiver in this year's draft. Legette is a versatile wide receiver that should make an immediate impact in Dave Canales's offense, and provide a legitimate weapon for second-year QB Bryce Young in the passing game.

The Carolina Panthers weren’t scheduled to draft until Friday of the 2024 NFL Draft, but a run on wide receivers at the end of the first round on Thursday caused general manager Dan Morgan to get aggressive to secure the guy he and the coaching staff wanted. That guy is South Carolina wide receiver Xavier […]

Even 24 hours later, it may not still feel real that the Carolina Hurricanes erased a 3-0 deficit against the New York Islanders in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but that's exactly what happened on Monday night, as Carolina took a 2-0 series lead. The win helped the team protect home ice, and in the process, became the first time since 2006 when they won the Stanley Cup, that they erased a 3-0 deficit in the postseason. What the comeback win even more impressive is that it was done with an unusual line, one that didn't get much run in the postseason, making it easier for Canes fans to believe that this is the year for them to break through in the Eastern Conference, and return to the Stanley Cup Final, which is the expectation, as they entered the season the favorite to win the Stanley Cup, and they entered the postseason the favorite as well.

The NFL Draft is just days away, and while the Panthers don’t have a first-round pick due to their trade-up for Bryce Young last year, they have 2 picks in the top 40. Steve Smith Sr joined Kyle Bailey as he broke down some of the WR prospects in the Panthers range for Friday night. […]

Ever since the Charlotte Hornets began their search for a new head coach, Dawn Staley has been a name that fans, and those in the basketball community have pondered as a potential candidate for the opening. Earlier this month, Staley led South Carolina women's program to their national championship under her watch, and a perfect season, after dispatching Iowa in the championship game. After the win, Staley was visibly emotional, but it was uncertain as to why, because she had won national championships before, many believe it was her hinting that she was moving on to another job, maybe in the NBA and the WNBA.
