2026 NBA Draft - Round One

Last night was the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft, and the Charlotte Hornets made two selections after much speculation around a possible trade-up, or a trade for a veteran big man. Instead, Jeff Peterson stayed put at 14 and 18, drafting Washington’s Hannes Steinbach at 14, and Texas Tech’s Christian Anderson at 18. The draft selection of Steinbach adds another big man to the roster, who specializes in rebounding the basketball, while Anderson is a deadly shooter from the outside, both valuable assets in the current climate of the NBA.

Earlier this morning on the Mac & Bone Show, both guys joined the program to talk about their NBA Draft experiences, what the pre-draft process was like, they gave scouting reports of each other, and more.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ.
