The voice of MLS on FOX John Strong joined Kyle Bailey on Wednesday’s edition of The Clubhouse as he previewed Charlotte FC’s first home match against the LA Galaxy and how big he expects the atmosphere to be in the Queen City this weekend.
The interview started with John previewing what is looking to be a record-breaking crowd this weekend inside Bank of America Stadium as he said a couple of years ago he was skeptical of Atlanta getting an MLS team because he was unsure if the MLS would work in the south but since then Atlanta has become an MLS Champion with big crowds on a regular basis and Nashville has gotten off to a good start with fans which makes John excited to be in Charlotte this weekend to see how special the atmosphere will be.
When it came to the actual match on Saturday John noted that getting off to a good start will be vital for Charlotte FC as if you can get a goal early it can really carry you especially if the atmosphere will be as raucous as it is expected to be because even though the LA Galaxy are not the best defensive team they are dangerous when it comes to attacking the net.
John also pointed out that Karol Świderski could be a huge x-factor for Charlotte FC as he couldn’t play last week due to VISA issues with his home country of Poland as he is a guy who could be a player to play in the World Cup and can bring a much-needed boost on the pitch for the squad.
