The first match in the history of the expansion MLS franchise in Charlotte, the Charlotte FC, is now less than four days away, as the team travels to Washington DC to take on DC United in their opening match. Charlotte FC is coming off of a winless preseason down in Charleston, but there is a good feeling around the team following the final friendly against Inter Miami over the weekend, where the team got its first goal in 2-1 loss where Miguel Angel Ramirez said that he felt the team played much better than the score showed.

Earlier today, the guys from the Mac Attack were joined by Eric Krakauer, the television play-by-play voice of the team and he discussed how he thinks that this is a winnable game for Charlotte FC, especially with all that DC United is losing.

“DC United is actually going through a little bit of a player revolution. They got rid of two of their top players, so my question for them is how do they mitigate those exits. I don’t think anybody should expect fireworks in this first game, but I do think it’s going to be very competitive and I absoultely think Charlotte FC has an opportunity to get a winning start.
