Charlotte FC Head Coach Miguel Angel Ramirez’ brings a varied and interesting background to his new perch in the Queen City.

Ramirez, who hails from Las Palmas in the Canary Islands of Spain, started coaching in his home country at the Academy level before moving to posts in Greece & Qatar doing similar work.

His first big job came as the manager of Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, where he presided over the 2019 Champions of Copa Sudamericana. Ramirez parlayed that success to a job in the Brazilian Serie A League, but endured signficant adversity, parting ways with the club after just 22 matches.

Part Two of Will Palaszczuk’s Interview with Ramirez delves into the Charlotte coach’s previous stops, while then also finding out what he’s liked about the Queen City in his brief time here. Palaszczuk concludes with Ramirez’ final pledge to those who might be on the fence about supporrting his team as a whole.
