Carolina Panthers vs Detroit Lions

To say this Panthers season has been a disaster might be an understatement. The team is still searching for their first win of the Frank Reich era as they head into Week 6 and is coming off its worst defeat of the season in Detroit on Sunday.

The latest loss has many wondering if the team will make any changes if things keep heading in that direction. Everyone from Scott Fitterer to Frank Reich has been pointed to as a potential candidate with fans looking for something that can turn the fortunes of this season and the direction of the franchise in general.

Earlier this morning, Mac and Bone responded to this request from the Panther fanbase. “I’m not at the point where I want Frank Reich or Scott Fitterer fired,” Mac said. “Frank Reich, first of all, it would be absurd to fire him. If you hired him and at six weeks, in the bye week, you’ve already lost the faith in your hiring, you’ve got to question your own hiring (abilities).”

Bone doesn’t support the thought of firing someone but does worry about David Tepper. “I don’t think he’s going to fire anybody, especially now. My point is, he’s impatient, he’s unpredictable. If they don’t have a win and they loseĀ  games to both rookie quarterbacks and Dallas fans completely take over the football stadium, I don’t know who he’d fire, I don’t know what he would do but that’s the time that I would look at and say something could happen.”

So what do you think? Will the Panthers fire someone in-season if things continue to trend in the wrong direction?
