Former Carolina Tar Heels guard Caleb Love is transferring to the University of Michigan, he announced Friday.
Love thanked the UNC coaches, teammates and community and announced on social media he was entering the transfer portal on March 27.
Weeks later the 6’4 guard has committed to Michigan.
He wrote on Twitter, “go rewrite your story kid”.
Love averaged 16.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game last season with the Tar Heels. He played in 101 collegiate games with 95 starts.
He ranks as one of the top transfers of the 2023 offseason after three years with Carolina. Love has two seasons of eligibility remaining with the Wolverines, one of those seasons due to the NCAA’s waiver in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Wolverines ended the season 18-16 season with a second-round loss in the NIT.
