Last night, Cooper Flagg was named the 2025-26 NBA Rookie of the Year, over Kon Knueppel of the Hornets, despite Kon leading the NBA in three-point shooting, and being a reason why the Hornets improved their win total by 25 games from last season. This decision, which felt inevitable, struck a nerve on today’s Mac & Bone Show, and the guys spent the morning on WFNZ, voicing their frustration with the results.

Mac & Bone start Tuesday’s show, talking about Kon Knueppel being snubbed for the ROY, as the award went to Cooper Flagg, they talk about both Duke & UNC battling for an international basketball recruit, & they take a look at the Panthers draft class by the numbers.

In the second hour, Mac & Bone continue to react to Kon Knueppel not being named the NBA Rookie of the Year, former Panther Brentson Buckner joins the show, as Buck recaps the NFL Draft that Dan Morgan put together, and Florida Man headlines What the Bleep.

In the third hour, Mac & Bone take a look at Kon Knueppel’s rookie season stats, as they continue to make the case he should’ve been the Rookie of the Year, Adam Gold stops by to talk about the Hurricanes sweeping their way to the second round, & they play sound of NFL Draft analysts analyzing the Panthers draft class.

The guys are joined by Sam Farber, the Voice of the Hornets, as he voices his displeasure with Kon Knueppel not being named the Rookie of the Year, after an all-time rookie season, not just for the Hornets but in the history of the NBA.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
