Kyle Busch’s Cause Of Death Revealed
Kyle Busch, one of NASCAR’s most accomplished and recognizable drivers, died at age 41 after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, according to a statement released by his family.
Dakota Hunter, vice president of Kyle Busch Companies, said in a news release that the family received the medical evaluation Saturday.
“The medical evaluation provided to the Busch Family concluded that severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications,” the Busch family statement read. “The Family asks for continued understanding and privacy during this difficult time.”
Busch had been hospitalized earlier in the week after becoming unresponsive during simulator testing in Concord, North Carolina. Reports said he had experienced shortness of breath and was coughing up blood before his death. His family had previously described his condition as a severe illness.
