Playing in front of a passionate 43,613 fans on Saturday night, Charlotte FC had to settle for a 2-2 tie with conference-leading Cincinnati FC. The Boys in Blue faded in the second half after starting off with a 2-0 lead in the first 45 minutes of play. Karol Świderski gave the Charlotte FC fans something to cheer about as he scored two goals in the first 24 minutes of the match (assisted by Kerwin Vargas & Jaylin Lindsey). Unfortunately, consistent with the team’s recent form, the lead vanished in the second half resulting in Charlotte FC’s 5th draw in a row with a final tally of 2-2, against the conference leaders.

Tough questions are growing in volume toward head coach Christian Lattanzio, as his team hasn’t had a victory since May 27th. What’s happening? The team seems to be searching for answers. The starting XI is inconsistent which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This shows the team is allowing competition for minutes at all positions.

Charlotte FC (10-17-2, 32 points) remains in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, missing a golden opportunity to increase their fading playoff chances.
