Los Angeles Rams v Baltimore Ravens

The Panthers were in need of help at the edge rusher position after trading Brian Burns to the New York Giants earlier this month and on Wednesday, they added the guy that may fill those shoes.

As first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Carolina is signing free agent edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney to a deal after he visited the team last week. The deal is for 2 years, $20 million, but could be worth up to $24 million.

Last year, in his lone season with the Baltimore Ravens, Clowney finished tied for his career high in sacks with 9.5 and had the most tackles he had in a season since 2018.

The Rock Hill, South Carolina native’s addition pairs nicely with the ones they made earlier this offseason in the forms of D.J. Wonnum and K’Lavon Chaisson to form a formidable pass rushing group.
