Today on the Mac Attack, Mac and T-Bone discussed if Matthew Stafford could be a fit for the Panthers. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that the Lions and Stafford have mutually agreed to part ways.

Mac took the side of wanting to upgrade the QB position by either trading everything for Deshaun Watson, or finding a guy in the NFL Draft to build the franchise around. T-Bone took the side of wanting Matthew Stafford, as long as it didn’t involve the Panthers trading pick #8. T-Bone also said people in Charlotte are underestimating how much of an upgrade Stafford would be over Teddy Bridgewater.

In his 12 years in Detroit, Matthew Stafford has thrown for over 45,000 yards, along with 2 playoff appearances. Other than Calvin Johnson, Stafford seemed to never have a run game or a defense.

Lions Radio Analyst Lomas Brown joined the show today and said Stafford is one of the toughest players out there, and even at age 32, he has a ton left in the tank.
