Chris Brazzell Will Now Undergo Season-Ending Surgery

After initial reporting stated that rookie WR, Chris Brazzell, would only miss eight weeks with a moderately torn LCL, we now know that Brazzell will undergo season-ending surgery to repair the torn ligament. The original plan of the Panthers was to let the rookie recover from the injury with a non-surgical route, but after a second opinion was given by a different doctor, the team will now pivot to repairing the ligament with season-ending surgery.

This is a pretty significant blow not only to the rookie, but also to the offense that was looking for him to be a legitimate deep ball threat in the passing game. As one door closes another opens though, this will now open up a spot for someone like Ja’seem Reed or Jimmy Horn Jr. to find their way on to the 53-man roster by cut down day.
