For the first time in six weeks, the Mac & Bone Show, got to celebrate a Panthers win, after Carolina took down New Orleans, 23-22 yesterday, at Bank of America Stadium. It was the Panthers first win since they blew out the Raiders back in Week 3, and it was the first win for Bryce Young, in 2024, and his third overall win as a starter in the NFL, all being at home, engineered by 4th quarter comebacks.

After spending the opening hour, just going over the general talking points from the win, in the second hour, the guys got down to business, dissecting the win over New Orleans. They identified the players thad deserve praise and credit for the win, most notably Xavier Legette, and Jatavion Sanders, after both rookies made big plays in the passing game in the victory.

Also in the second hour, Jim Szoke, longtime member of the Panthers Radio Network, stopped by for his weekly Monday segment, and he talked about what looked difference with Bryce Young back under center, how the defense is slowly starting to come together, and how the win will impact the trade deadline later this week.

In the third hour, the guys opened the phone lines, and let Panthers fan sound off after beating their division rival, and they made the case for Bryce Young to be the starting QB moving forward, after his play the last couple of weeks.

And lastly, despite the win, Mac & Bone had to have an honest conversation about Dave Canales’s questionable play-calling, which would’ve been a big reason why they’d lost the game, had they come up short. They talk about what adjustments they’d like to see the rookie head coach make, and how he can continue to help his young QB, build confidence in himself.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
