The Charlotte Hornets closed the season on a positive note, ending Steve Clifford’s coaching career with a 120-110 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Both team rested many of their starters and main rotation players, which saw JT Thor score a career-high 20 points, and Nick Smith, Jr. leading all scorers with a career-high 24 points to lead the Hornets.

Charlotte’s two-way contract players got into the act as well, with Leaky Black & Amari Bailey scoring 11 points each, and Marques Bolden who posted a career-high of his own with 14 points.

Clifford’s coaching career concludes with 801 career contests coached, 340 wins and 461 losses, compiling a 243-330 record with the Hornets.

The Hornets conclude the 2023-24 season with a 21-61 record.
