After Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, the Panthers have fallen to 0-6 for the first time since 1998 and now Frank Reich has given up play-calling duties to Thomas Brown. Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer joined Kyle Bailey to discuss the struggles, and if things could improve by the end of the year.
The conversation started with the news of HC Frank Reich giving up play-calling duties to Thomas Brown as Mike thinks this will limit the operational issues and could help Frank Reich step back and look at the overarching picture for this team moving forward. Mike also believes this change will help Bryce Young and not hurt him as this is the organization doubling down on the rookie not being the problem.
Mike would also get into if any key players could get traded before the deadline, and if David Tepper is getting too involved with personnel decisions.
