The NBA Finals are set as the Heat will now take on the Nuggets after beating the Celtics in the ECF. A significant factor behind the Heat’s success has been former Hornet Caleb Martin, who scored 26 points in the deciding game 7 win over the Celtics.

Caleb Martin’s performance throughout the playoffs has had many people questioning the Hornets releasing him a year and a half ago. On Tuesday’s edition of “The Kyle Bailey Show,” Kyle weighed in on the matter as he believes it is not cut and dry. He noted how not one person saw this coming, and this hurt more because he plays for the Heat.

Another factor that plays into this according to Kyle is that Caleb’s brother, Cody is still with the Hornets and was hurt throughout the whole year. Cody Martin was coming off a career year in 21-22 and Kyle thinks that if Cody stays healthy next year, he could have a positive impact on the Hornets with Steve Clifford as his HC.

To end things out, Kyle understands the frustration with multiple Hornets fans complaining yet again after more than 2 decades of no consistent success, but no one outside the Martin family saw Caleb’s meteoric rise coming.
