Charlotte Hornets v Miami Heat

Today on the Mac Attack, Mac & T-Bone discussed Malik Monk working himself back into the Hornets rotation with his great play. Malik has been huge for the team during the last two games, as he has had 18 points against the Bucks, then a career-high 36 points against the Heat. Monk has come a long way in the past year, and it is awesome to see him having success.

Last season, Malik Monk was suspended indefinitely for testing positive for an undisclosed substance. Monk had been playing very well last season before the suspension as well, averaging 17.8 points in his last 11 games.

Malik has been known to have hot and cold stretches throughout his career, so let’s hope the hot streak he is on right now sticks around. Mac and T-Bone have mentioned Monk’s name in trade discussions, considering he is a restricted free agent after the season. If he can keep giving the Hornets great production off the bench, I have a hard time seeing the Hornets move him.
