Today on the Mac Attack, Mac and T-Bone discussed the Panthers biggest needs outside of the QB position. They both say that the Offensive Line is something that needs to be addressed, along with the pass rush.
Panthers Insider Darin Gantt joined the show and agreed with the guys on the Offensive Line. One huge question mark is upcoming free agent tackle Taylor Moton, and if the Panthers can afford to bring him back. Per PFF, Moton ranked in the 90th percentile among offensive tackles, and seems to the only guy on the line that is above an average player. The Panthers can always Franchise Tag Moton, and Darin Gantt said during the interview that “I have a hard time seeing Moton playing anywhere other than Carolina.”
Defensive Coordinator Phil Snow also joined the show today, and he discussed the pass rush being something that can always improve. Brian Burns led the team with 9 sacks this past season and it would be great to have someone else on the other side to compliment Burns. Snow also mentioned the pass coverage being something that this team can improve on as well.
