The Tar Heels will head to Louisville on Tuesday night as they look to continue the momentum that they built off a three-game homestand that they swept last week in the Dean Dome. The hope is that this can be the turning point for a season where the Tar Heels have had a lot of inconsistencies especially on the road and has left many fans frustrated after similar issues to close the Roy Williams era, even with the fact that this is Hubert Davis’ first season as a head coach at the varsity level.

The Mac Attack welcomed Tar Heel Sports Network color analyst Eric Montross to the show on Tuesday and he was asked about the first year of Hubert Davis in Chapel Hill and criticism. Montross preached patience with the first-year head coach.

“I think a lot of people want instant gratification. You’ve been on staff for nine years; let’s just hand over the reigns and everything is going to be the same. This is not ‘everything is going to be the same’. Hubert Davis is the kind of coach that has done exactly what Roy Williams said when he came in. Right now, this is the process of Hubert Davis making it his own.”
