The NBA Draft is just over 48 hours away, and the rumors are heating up, in regards to who the Hornets are going to pick #2 on Thursday night. Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported earlier today that Brandon Miller has been the favorite during the draft process, with the idea of him being the perfect fit to pair with LaMelo Ball. Earlier tonight, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Miller is the frontrunner to be the #2 pick, and has been the focus for the Hornets for some time.

The Hornets are set for another selection later in the first round at No. 27 and the No. 34, No. 39 and No. 41 in the second round. Earlier this morning, Mac & Bone discussed some of the names that they have seen and would like to see the Hornets go after with those selections.

The next few weeks will have a massive impact on the Charlotte Hornets, between the team holding the 2nd overall pick and Michael Jordan selling his majority stake in the team this has already turned into one of the biggest offseasons in Charlotte Hornets history. Friday was a huge day of news around the Charlotte Hornets. Earlier this morning, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Michael Jordan was selling his majority stake in the franchise after thirteen years as the only African-American majority owner in sports. Almost simultaneously, fellow NBA insider Marc Stein said on his podcast, #thisleague UNCUT, that the Pelicans are considering moving Zion Williamson to the Charlotte Hornets.

We're inching closer to next week's NBA Draft, and with the Finals over, that is now the focal point in the basketball world. The Hornets have been preparing for the draft since January, after a brutal start to the season, had them out of playoff contention right off the bat. A disappointing 27-55 record, did payoff when Charlotte did earn the #2 pick in the draft, just barely missing out on generational talent, Victor Webmanyama. With Charlotte being in control of how the rest of the draft will unfold, they have to decide whether or not to draft Brandon Miller, or Scoot Henderson, both of whom would be potential #1 overall picks in every other draft.

We're only nine days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, and yesterday, Shams Charania of The Athletic, reported that the New Orleans Pelicans, are interested in trading up to either #2 or #3, to draft Scoot Henderson. Of course, by now you know that the Hornets own the #2 pick, and it isn't clear what direction they are going next Thursday night. Should Charlotte be interested in trading away the #2 pick, for either Zion Williamson or Brandon Ingram? Both have ties to the area, with both having played their college basketball at Duke and Williamson, being from Spartanburg, SC, and Ingram from Kinston, NC.

This offseason is one full of questions for the Charlotte Hornets. What do you do with the No. 2 pick? What do you do with Miles Bridges? What do you do with PJ Washington? Now there is another question that needs to be on the table according to the Mac & Bone Show's Travis Hancock.
