Stan Van Gundy Recaps The Hornets Thrilling Play-In Over Miami
The Charlotte Hornets are now 1 game away from their first playoff series since 2016 after their thrilling OT win over the Heat on Tuesday night, 127-126. Former NBA HC turned Amazon Prime Analyst Stan Van Gundy joined Kyle Bailey to break down all the highs and lows from what will go down as a night to remember in the Queen City.
LaMelo Ball was the main topic of discussion early on with Stan, as he told Kyle that he’s been very impressed with LaMelo’s play as of late and what impressed him the most was LaMelo’s ability to stay in the game after having a rough 2nd half and OT as he made the GW shot after a couple of rough mistakes. Stan also weighed in on the incident between LaMelo Ball and Bam Adebayo as Stan believes it was a bad play on LaMelo’s part, but he doesn’t believe it will end in a suspension.
Stan would also go on to break down Kon Knueppel being able to still have an impact despite not shooting the ball well, and what he thinks is Charles Lee’s calling card as a coach.
