The last couple of weeks haven’t been kind to Charlotte FC, as they suffered a 3-0 home defeat two weeks ago, before losing in extra time last week in New York. The good news is that they start a stretch of home games, starting with Portland this Saturday as The Crown will play 4 of their next 5 games at Bank of America Stadium, a place that is often kind to Charlotte.
The Voice of Charlotte FC, Willie P joins the Wes & Walker Show every Thursday during the MLS season, and he did so again today after being out at training ahead of Saturday’s home match. During his time with the guys, he talked about a new roster protocol coming to the MLS, and the clarity it will bring to rosters across the sport. He also talked about the importance of the next month of games, as it’s important for the club to position themselves for the postseason, heading into the summer transfer window.
In addition to being the Voice of Charlotte FC, Willie is also the postgame host for the Charlotte Hornets, and he expressed why he’s interested in JJ Redick being the next head coach of the franchise.
