With March a few weeks away, college basketball takes center stage in the state of North Carolina, as we close down the ACC regular season. With Duke and North Carolina at the top of the standings, it feels like old times in the league, even though it’s not getting the respect nationally.
A team that has had another solid season, but finds themselves on the outside looking in for the NCAA Tournament, happens to be Wake Forest. Steve Forbes has done a great job restoring the program to competitive status in the ACC, since arriving in Winston-Salem from East Tennesee State. Forbes has learned how to navigate the transfer portal, which is the key to short-term and long-term success in today’s college basketball.
Earlier today, Forbes joined the Wes & Walker Show, to talk about the Demon Deacons so far, and what has allowed him to thrive in the transfer portal before he comes to the defense of the ACC & explains why the NET metric is flawed and doesn’t represent teams well.
