With football season officially over, many sports fans are gearing their attention toward the NBA, NHL, and college basketball, or are waiting for the start of the baseball season. Lost in all the other sports, is the start of the MLS season, which gets underway next weekend, with Charlotte FC starting their third season of MLS play.
FC is coming off their first-ever playoff appearance, losing to Chicago in the play-in game, after a rally down the stretch to get themselves into postseason play. Despite the postseason appearance, the club did move on from Christian Lattanzio and brought in Dean Smith (no not that Dean Smith), a tactician with a track record of turning clubs around in the best leagues in the world, including the Premier League.
Earlier today, Willie P, the Voice of Charlotte FC, joined the Wes & Walker Show, to talk about how the club has responded since losing Karol Swiderski, he talks about where new coach Dean Smith will make the biggest impact and what expectations are for the club entering their third season.
