Charlotte v Florida

Believe it or not, we are in the final month of the college football regular season, as the calendar has turned to November. Back when the season began, 49ers fans were dreaming of making a second-ever bowl game, after an off-season, headlined by the hire of Biff Poggi, followed by the new head coach, making bold claims about how competitive his program would be. Instead, Charlotte finds itself at 2-6, needing to win their remaining four games, to qualify for a bowl game. Those remaining four games, come against Tulsa, Memphis, Rice, and South Florida, with Tulsa being the only team on the schedule with a losing record, making it hard to envision them qualifying for a bowl game.

Charlotte has taken a step forward on the defensive side of the ball, but uneven QB play has hindered the offense from putting together the type of performances you see in modern college football. To talk about it all, Charlotte 49ers beat reporter for The Charlotte Observer, Hunert Bailey, joined the Wes & Walker Show on WFNZ, to give insight into some of the suspensions that the program is facing, how the offense can become more explosive, and more as the program will look to qualify for a bowl game for just the second time.

You can catch the Wes & Walker Show, every weekday from 12-3 PM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
