Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer joined Kyle Bailey on The Clubhouse as he discussed the latest from Panthers OTA’s.

The conversation with Mike started with comments from Tommy Tremble in his latest piece being very critical of former HC Matt Rhule Mike explained that while he thinks Tommy was critical of the way Rhule and co. coached the TE group, he viewed it as a more glowing review of how the new staff under Frank Reich is really opening up this offense.

Of course, the biggest story of the offseason is the number 1 overall pick Bryce Young. While the real bullets have not flown yet Mike has been very impressed as he told Kyle that Bryce has been as comfortable of a rookie he has ever seen and even made guys on the back end of the roster shine as well.

The Panthers recently missed out on signing edge rusher Leonard Floyd, and Kyle asked Mike if Carolina can still get an edge with some cache as Mike thinks possibly trading for Everson Griffen would make sense, but he doesn’t think Carolina would have the trade capital to get the job done, and Yannick Ngakoue has concerns when it comes to stopping the run.
