The Charlotte Hornets started the season 4-14, and the outlook was bleak for the 2025-26 season, with injuries piling up once again. But behind rising star Kon Knueppel, who is among the favorites to be the Rookie of the Year, the team has clawed all the way back to 30-31, and they are in the thick of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference. You look up three months after the 4-14 start, and LaMelo is on pace to play the most amount of games since his second season, Brandon Miller is developing into a reliable scorer, and they have overcome the issues at center, led by fan favorite Moussa Diabate. How was this turnaround made possible? The Mac & Bone Show turned to Brian Geisinger for a film breakdown of the Hornets’ recent success.

The guys are joined by co-host of the Buzz Beat Podcast, and overall film guru Brian Geisinger, as BG talks about the surging Hornets, as he tells you what stands out about the team on film, how the health of LaMelo and Brandon Miller has elevated Charlotte on both ends of the floor, the impact of Kon Knueppel, and more.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
