Today on the Mac Attack, Mac and T-Bone discuss Matt Rhule not mentioning Teddy Bridgewater’s name once yet this offseason. When Rhule has done interviews during the Senior Bowl this week, he has dodged every question when it comes to Teddy Bridgewater.

Matt Rhule has been clamoring for QB’s in this Draft, especially Mac Jones who is on the team he is coaching in the Senior Bowl. Teddy obviously didn’t play well enough in 2020, and it seems from Matt Rhule’s tone that he may want to upgrade that position.

Last offseason, Teddy signed a 3 year/63-million-dollar contract. It would be very tough for the Panthers to get out of that deal without eating a ton of dead cap money, which I’m sure they don’t want to do. I could see the Panthers using Teddy as a trade piece in a deal for Deshaun Watson, but other than that it seems very likely that he will be back with the team next season in some capacity.
