There have been rumors swirling around the last few days regarding the Panthers and Deshaun Watson. The price for Watson would obviously be steep if they decide to move him, and the Panthers could use All-Pro RB Christian McCaffrey to sweeten the trade.
Mac and T-Bone have both agreed all week that they would include CMC in the trade if that’s what it would take. They say they love CMC, but having an elite QB is the most important thing in the NFL.
CMC had a down year in 2020 due to injuries, but he has proven that he can be a team’s workhorse in the NFL. He had 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in 2019, but the team only won 7 games. QB’s are the position that most decide wins and losses in the NFL, and getting Deshaun Watson should be something the Panthers try to do regardless of who the team has to give up.
