NC State v Duke

The NC State Wolfpack are in the midst of one of the most improbable runs in the history of college basketball. After winning five games in five days in the ACC Tournament to essentially save head coach Kevin Keatts’ job, the team has built on that momentum here in the tournament winning four games in the South Region, including the 76-64 win over Duke in the Elite Eight on Sunday. That victory has the program in their first Final Four since their last magical run in 1983 and has left Raleigh and the college basketball world buzzing as the team heads to Phoneix.

On Wednesday, the Mac & Bone Show got the chance to talk to one of the members of that 1983 ‘Survive and Advance’ team, Chris Corchinai about the run this year’s team is on. He talked about why this year’s team has been able to make this run, what he expects in the matchup with Purdue and what it was like to be a part of that ‘Fire & Ice’ backcourt with Rodney Monroe.

Keep it tuned to the WFNZ the rest of the week for more coverage of NC State’s run to the Final Four and a preview of what the weekend could entail for them.
