LaMelo Ball made a game-sealing steal on the last play of the game, as the Hornets snap a three-game losing skid with a 125-124 victory over the Indiana Pacers.Ball picked the pocket of Tyrese Halliburton twice after the Hornets turned the ball over with a chance to sew up the victory, denying Halliburton on a night where he scored a game-high 43 including 25 in the third quarter.

The Hornets needed to pick up Ball offensively on a night where he once again struggled, getting 27 points from Mark Williams & Gordon Hayward poured in 23 in his latest return to his Hoosier home. Ball did just enough with 11 points and 11 assists, his final helper coming on a lob to Williams with 1:03 to play to make up the final margin.

Charlotte won on a night where Indiana couldn’t miss offensively from the field, hitting 22 three-pointers, but two key missed free throws down the stretch doomed them. The Hornets, conversely, were perfect from the charity stripe, making all 23 of their attempts.

The news wasn’t all positive of the Hornets, as they lost Terry Rozier to a groin injury late in the fourth quarter.

The Hornets hope to make it a winning road trip with their final game of the swing, facing the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Coverage begins on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ at 6:30 with tip time at 7:30 PM.
