The Hornets Forward joined the Kyle Bailey Show on Tuesday to discuss his new contract extension with the Hornets, and his expectations for the upcoming season.
Earlier today, PJ Washington and the Hornets held a press conference to discuss his 3 year 48 Million dollar contract extension, and he told Kyle Bailey to start the interview off that getting the deal done makes him excited, and he was extremely confident that both he and the Hornets would find a deal before the season started back up.
When it comes to his expectations, PJ said he feels like this group can be special, and he wants to win which he said he hasn’t done yet at the NBA level, but he has a lot of belief it can get done with the roster this year.
PJ also talked about another Hornet who got a contract extension this offseason was LaMelo Ball as PJ noted that “Melo has been Melo” this offseason and has been working on his craft the entire offseason. The 2nd overall pick Brandon Miller has stood out to PJ with his work ethic, and skill, and fits perfectly into Coach Steve Clifford’s system.
