When it comes to the Hornets and the city of Charlotte Rick told Kyle that Charlotte is a “Sleeping Giant” and is not known as the major city it should be and this area loves basketball Rick told Kyle that he believes this is an attractive place for a lot of different reasons.

Rick went further into detail when it came to building a contender as they need to have a strategy which is to be competitive year-in and year out which starts by drafting well as well as creating a strong culture, While Rick doesn’t believe the Hornets will win the NBA Finals this year, he believes there is a strong young core that can continue to grow and help for a brighter future.

Kyle then asked Rick the roles that he and Gabe Plotkin had when it came to drafting Brandon Miller 2nd overall as well as giving Miles Bridges the Qualifying Offer as he said they were both in the background on both moves while Mitch and Michael made the moves. Rick then explained that they consulted on bringing back Miles and he told Kyle they believe in 2nd chances and Rick loves that Milees is “betting on himself”.
