Agent 89 Steve Smith returned to the Kyle Bailey Show today as he previewed the Panthers upcoming game and joint practices with the Jets and what the goals should be.
Steve started by previewing the Panthers upcoming joint practices against the Jets as the 2 things that he is looking to see are how the Panthers O-Line handles the stunts and blitzes of the Jets defensive front, and how the Panthers receiving core handles the physicality that the Jets secondary brings to the table.
News broke on Sunday that Justin Houston had signed a 1-year deal to join the Panthers edge-rushing efforts as Steve told Kyle that this signing means that the Panthers brass feels like the guys outside of Brian Burns were not good enough to be a starter at this point and Justin can impact the game.
Kyle also questioned Steve as to what he is looking for while watching Bryce Young this weekend as he said the key he is looking for is how he identifies the defense along with his pocket awareness because if he knows who the Mike Linebacker is as he can control the offense to the highest level.
