The NBA Draft is just over 48 hours away, and the rumors are heating up, in regards to who the Hornets are going to pick #2 on Thursday night. Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported earlier today that Brandon Miller has been the favorite during the draft process, with the idea of him being the perfect fit to pair with LaMelo Ball. Earlier tonight, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Miller is the frontrunner to be the #2 pick, and has been the focus for the Hornets for some time.

With the belief around the NBA, that Miles Bridges will be back in Charlotte for the 2023-24 season, a lot of people are starting to speculate about the possible contract Bridges will receive. Before his domestic violence issue, on the eve of free agency last summer, Bridges was in line to receive a max contract from Charlotte, after Bridges had a career year. After a year away from basketball, Bridges is still in line to get a big payday, as Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports, expects him to make around $25 million dollars, and John Hollinger of The Athletic, echoed that belief, saying he could receive a contract worth $29 million dollars annually. Is this right? Or should Bridges be paid less, after his off-the-court issue?

We are officially less than two weeks away from the 2023 NBA Draft, and while the Hornets are still doing their homework on who to take at #2, they have plenty of things that need to be addressed shortly after the Draft as well. With the Hornets being a small market franchise, they operate in a manner that not many people have any insight into what's going on inside that building. One of the few people who have an inside track on what's going on, is Jake Fischer, from Yahoo! Sports, and he joined the Wes & Walker Show on WFNZ to talk about the many things on the Hornets' to-do list this summer.

The Charlotte Hornets are just 23 days away from selecting what could be another franchise player to pair with former No. 3 overall pick LaMelo Ball. At least we think so. On Wednesday morning, Field of 68 college basketball analyst Terrence Oglesby stopped by with the Mac & Bone Show for a little bit of NBA Draft talk. While the guys were excited about his idea of taking Scoot Henderson with the second overall pick, they were a little shocked by what he said he would do with LaMelo Ball in that circumstance.

When the NBA Finals tip-off this Thursday night in Denver, it will also mark the NBA Draft being three weeks away, as teams around the league will continue to fill out their draft boards, with the #1 pick already an afterthought. The Charlotte Hornets own the#2 pick, and that's is really where the draft starts, especially with the Blazers, who currently own the #3 pick, open to trading for a veteran piece to pair with Damian Lillard.
