With the Oakland A's set to leave Oakland for Las Vegas, there are a lot of rumors about expansion around MLB, and the city of Charlotte is at the heart of the rumors. Along with Nashville, Charlotte has been identified as an ideal spot for an expansion MLB team, if and when the sport expands to 32 teams, just like in the NFL. The growth of Charlotte as a sports town has been well-documented, ever since the Hornets arrived in the 1980s. In the 1990s, the Carolina Panthers arrived, and Charlotte FC is currently in their second year of MLS play. Additionally, the city has hosted the Final Four, seen the Charlotte Knights relocate to uptown and much more.
The college football season is still a couple of months away, but today TV networks started releasing times for early season games, including the Duke's Mayo Classic, which features the North Carolina Tar Heels, and the South Carolina Gamecocks. This battle between teams that will likely be ranked inside the top 25 in the preseason polls, is set for a 7:30 PM kick on ABC, making the Queen City the focus of the college football world, for the second time in three years. Two years ago, Clemson and Georgia battled at Bank of America Stadium, as two, top 5 teams, as Georgia prevailed 10-3, on their way to a national championship season.

While the guys were excited about his idea of taking Scoot Henderson with the second overall pick, they were a little shocked by what he said he would do with LaMelo Ball in that circumstance.
The NBA Finals are set as the Heat will now take on the Nuggets after beating the Celtics in the ECF. A significant factor behind the Heat’s success has been former Hornet Caleb Martin, who scored 26 points in the deciding game 7 win over the Celtics. Caleb Martin’s performance throughout the playoffs has had […]
When the NBA Finals tip-off this Thursday night in Denver, it will also mark the NBA Draft being three weeks away, as teams around the league will continue to fill out their draft boards, with the #1 pick already an afterthought. The Charlotte Hornets own the#2 pick, and that's is really where the draft starts, especially with the Blazers, who currently own the #3 pick, open to trading for a veteran piece to pair with Damian Lillard.
This weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway was filled with a multitude of storylines. After a smooth Friday night that saw Xfinity Series practice and qualifying go off without a hitch and both the ARCA Menards and Craftsmen Truck Series race without any issues, weather became the theme of the next two days.
Bronny James hasn’t officially stepped onto USC’s campus yet, but the school knows a lot will change.
