The Panthers concluded mandatory minicamp last week, and they are now in the quietest part of the off-season before training camp opens next month. After going 2-15, it's fair to say that expectations aren't high for the Panthers entering the 2024 season, with progression being the most important thing for Bryce Young, as he enters his second season in the NFL. With that in mind, there are people that do think that Carolina can compete next season, after boosting the offensive line, and adding multiple weapons for Bryce Young to utilize in the passing game.

The Charlotte Hornets are looking to add to a talented young roster, as they hold the sixth pick in the draft, but it's unknown how aggressive new ownership will be in the open market. They have to make a decision on Miles Bridges and if they want to invest in him in the long term, as it's unknown if they can adequately replace his production in the draft.

Wes & Walker debate if the Panthers signing Jadeveon Clowney to a two-year “prove-it” deal was a smart move for the team. In today's college athletics, there isn't much of an off-season for major sports like football and basketball, which makes for a busy spring on and off the field. For Charlotte, while they failed to make the NCAA Tournament, they've been busy trying to rebuild their roster for 2024-25. Biff Poggi completed his second spring, as Charlotte's head football coach, as he looks to guide the 49ers to their second-ever bowl appearance, and Charlotte softball made the NCAA Tournament, after winning the American Conference tournament, their first season in the conference.

Frustrations with star guard LaMelo Ball are starting to grow for Hornets fans, especially with the latest bit of poor offseason publicity for the franchise that involves him. WSOC-TV in Charlotte reported Tuesday that Ball and the Hornets are being sued by a woman, Tamaria McRae, who claims that he ran over her son’s foot […]

When you don't have a baseball team, and your NBA team isn't playing deep into the postseason, the late spring, and early summer months can be lean for a sports radio host, or even a sports columnist. Except in Charlotte, where there always seems to be something worth writing, or talking about, going on. This week hasn't been any different, with the Panthers taking the field for the start of OTAs, the 65th running of the Coca-Cola 600 is this Sunday, and that's right, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball is in the news again, this time facing a lawsuit, after allegedly running over an 11 year old's foot.
