Today marks the start of another basketball season with the Charlotte Hornets, which is mixed with many familiar faces and quite a bit of new faces as well. Perhaps one of the bigger new faces is the team’s newest head coach, Charles Lee. The veteran assistant is ready for his first year with the big whistle, and he talked to Kyle Bailey about both his mindset and expectations heading into this year.
One of the first topics broached with Coach Lee regarded the growth of PG LaMelo Ball who is coming off a season riddled with injuries as Lee told Kyle as he noted that he along with many others have led by example, and he has committed himself on the defensive side of the ball as Coach Lee said gone are the days of trying to hide him on defense, and by doing that Charles thinks it sets the tone for the rest of the team.
Charles Lee would also go on to discuss the injury to Mark Williams as well as his plan to help Brandon Miller grow as a player entering year 2.
