On Monday the Carolina Panthers made the decision to bench second-year QB Bryce Young, in favor of veteran backup Andy Dalton, in a move that initially took the fan base by storm, and by Wednesday was a talking point on every national show, across multiple platforms. The response hasn’t been positive, as many people are being blamed for Young’s shortcomings in the NFL, most notably, owner David Tepper, who has the franchise into the ground, as he’s been unable to identify the franchise’s next QB post Cam Newton.
Earlier today, Trevor Sikkema, NFL analyst for PFF, joined the Mac & Bone Show, as he talked about what led to Bryce Young’s benching, what his future is in Carolina and in the NFL, and how the Panthers should attack the QB position moving forward.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ.
