The Panthers opened their 2024 season yesterday, but it felt more like a repeat of the last six seasons, as they fell to the Saints, 47-10 in blowout fashion, as Bryce Young, the trenches, and the coaching staff all had a day to forget. The thing is that the fan base hasn’t forgotten the last couple of seasons, which has seen multiple head coaches fired, and a front office overhaul. After the way it looked yesterday, it’s hard to rule out more changes coming in the future.
After “Panthering Up” on Friday’s show, Mac & Bone had the first crack at answering all the questions and dealing with all the frustrations that came out of yesterday’s outcome, and they didn’t disappoint.
In the opening hour, Mac & Bone both went on multiple rants, as Mac said that it was the worst performance that he’s seen under David Tepper, topping everything he endured last season. As for Bone, he stated that the team has somehow regressed, even after going 2-15 just last season.
The fallout continued into the second hour, as the guys played the famous blame game, and after yesterday, there was a lot of it to go around.
Finally, in the final hour, after much venting and complaining of their own, Mac & Bone opened up the phone lines, to let Panthers fans voice their frustrations, during the Monday staple, Pulse of Panthers Nation.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
