It’s the eve of the NBA Draft, and it’s still uncertain which direction the Charlotte Hornets are going in, as they hold the sixth pick in the draft. The latest rumors have them zeroed in on drafting Dalton Knecht, Reed Sheppard, or Stephon Castle, but there are rumors that Charlotte could look to trade up, or trade back to make their 2024 selection, to pair with LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Mark Williams.

Jeff Peterson has taken over the front office duties for the Hornets after Mitch Kupchak stepped down earlier this season, and after overseeing a roster overhaul in Brooklyn, Peterson is tasked with building a winner in Charlotte, something we haven’t seen since the NBA returned to the Queen City back in the early 2000s.

Earlier today, former college basketball head coach at Indiana and Georgia, Tom Crean joined the Mac & Bone Show on WFNZ, to preview the NBA Draft, as he broke down Knecht, Sheppard, and Castle as prospects, which player would best fit in Charlotte if local product DJ Burns could play in the NBA & more.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
