Paul Biancardi On UNC Hiring Coach Malone: It’s A Home Run Hire
On the day of the National Title Game, UNC stole some of the headlines as multiple insiders broke the news that all signs are pointing to former Denver Nuggets HC Michael Malone being the new HC for the Tar Heels. Former College Basketball HC turned recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi joined Kyle Bailey to react to the Heels hire, as well as the national title game in Indy.
Despite many concerns about how long it’s been since he’s been on a college bench, Paul views this as a “Home Run” hire for the Tar Heels, because unlike most coaches that come from the NBA to college, Coach Malone knows the grind of recruiting and coaching in college from his time with Pete Gillen at Providence and Paul pointed out that everything Michael Malone has done in basketball has been successful.
Paul would go on to react to Justin Gainey taking the NC State job, and what he expects from the National Title game.
