Shane Beamer On Trying To Bounce Back In 2026
The 2025 season for the South Carolina Gamecocks was one filled with many almosts, as the Gamecocks finished 4-8 after much hype heading into the season. Gamecocks HC Shane Beamer joined Kyle Bailey to discuss how his program is looking to bounce back, and why he hasn’t lost faith in what they can accomplish.
Despite finishing 4-8 last year, Shane Beamer is feeling confident right now heading into the 2026 season, as he told Kyle that in many games during the 2025 season, they were close in almost every SEC game and he pointed to multiple key players like LaNorris Sellers, Nyck Harbor, and Dylan Stewart all stayed when they could’ve easily left, and it gives Shane confident that they still believe as they added more veterans to the roster that they are better as a program already from getting older and going through the pains of last year.
Shane would go on to discuss what new OC Kendal Briles adds to the staff, and Shane discusses a unique recruit he was able to get with a rugby background.
