Matt Doherty Reacts To The Firing Of Hubert Davis
For just the 4th time in the 21st Century, the North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball job has come open after the University fired Hubert Davis on Tuesday evening. Former Tar Heel HC and national champion Matt Doherty joined Kyle Bailey to react to the firing, and what comes next for the Heels.
When it came to the firing of Hubert, Matt told Kyle that he admired the fact that Hubert didn’t resign and instead got fired as it says a lot about his character, and unfortunately for Hubert, Matt said the problem that did Hubert in was the simple fact that he was unable to reach the consistently high expectations at UNC on a yearly basis.
Matt would go on to discuss who he thinks should be considered for the opening, and the role the boosters could play in this hire.
