Panthers’ Tetairoa McMillan Wins Offensive Rookie of the Year

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan has been named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2025 season. McMillan had an outstanding first year, becoming the only rookie to gain over 1,000 receiving yards.
He beat out other top rookies, including Saints quarterback Tyler Shough, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson, and Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka. McMillan is just the second player in Panthers history to win this award, following Cam Newton in 2011.
Drafted eighth overall from Arizona, McMillan quickly became a key player for the Panthers. He set a new team rookie record with 1,014 receiving yards, which was more than double what any other rookie achieved this season. According to Next Gen Stats, McMillan was a deep-play threat, with half of his 70 catches coming on passes thrown over 10 yards.
McMillan’s impressive debut season has made him a vital part of the Panthers’ offense and a player to watch in the future.
