Looking to take control of the NFC South yesterday, the Panthers instead blew a 17-7 lead on the road, and lost to the lowly Saints for a second time, 20-17, to fall back to .500, at 7-7. Carolina looked poised to improve to 8-6, after opening the game with a touchdown, and building a double digit lead in the second half. But the Saints defense tightened up, taking away the run game for both Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle, while pass protection failed Bryce Young, time and again. That set the stage for a lively Mac & Bone Show, as the two had to recap another disappointing loss, following a big win.

Mac & Bone start a Panther Monday, venting after the Panthers got beat by the Saints yesterday, to fall to 7-7 on the season, they give their initial reactions to the loss, before talking about a road win for the Hornets, Fernando Mendoza winning the Heisman, Phillip Rivers’ NFL return, and more.

In the second hour, Mac & Bone play the blame game after the Panthers disappointing loss to the Saints, and falling to 7-7 on the season, they talk about their trust in the team to still win the NFC South, as they still control their own destiny, & you hear from Panther players & coaches address the loss.

In the third hour, Mac & Bone do a quick recap of the hoops action over the weekend, as the Hornets split two games, NC State failed to win a big game (again), and UNC earned a non-conference win, they open the phone lines to hear from Panther fans after the Saints loss, & they debate if the door is still open for Carolina to make the playoffs.

In the final hour, Mac & Bone address all the angst towards Dave Canales, Bryce Young and Ejiro Evero. after the Panthers loss to the Saints, Mike Kaye joins the show, as he outlines what led to the loss, they preview the night in sports, they read funny texts, and more.

Panthers beat reporter for The Charlotte Observer, Mike Kaye, joins the show, as Mike talks about what went wrong for the Panthers yesterday in New Orleans, why it’s fair to be critical of Dave Canales and his coaching staff, and what this means for the race for the NFC South.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
