Mike Kaye On Where The Panthers Stand After The Bye

It was a long and sometimes challenging journey, but the Panthers finally were able to enjoy their bye week in early December as the Saints helped close the gap for Carolina, which is now tied for the NFC South lead with Tampa Bay. Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer joined Kyle Bailey to break down where the Panthers stand now with 4 weeks of football left.
One of the biggest keys of the bye week is to get as healthy as possible. According to Mike, it looks like that was the case for Carolina, as he noted how 5 key contributors who missed the Rams game were practicing on Monday with Jaycee Horn and Claudin Cherelus still in concussion protocol, but were progressing according to Dave Canales as Mike thinks that for the most part, health is looking far better for Carolina compared to what it was before the bye.
Mike went on to discuss the growing conversation surrounding Bryce Young’s future, as well as how HC Dave Canales has grown as a coach throughout the 2025 season.
