Adam Gold Still Doesn’t Believe in Dave Canales

The Carolina Panthers enter their bye week with a 7-6 record and in contention to win the NFC South, with three of their final four games against NFC South opponents, including two games against the current leaders in the division, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina has gone 7-4 after an 0-2 start to the season, which had everyone questioning if this team was headed in the right direction, but with the ongoing turnaround, Dave Canales’s name has come up in Coach of the Year conversations.

Adam Gold, host on 99.9 The Fan in Raleigh joins the Mac & Bone Show every week, and during his weekly conversation with the guys, he laughed at the notion that Canales is getting mentioned for COY honors, making the argument that Dan Morgan deserves the most credit for the ongoing rebuild, and that Canales is as much to blame as anyone for the inconsistent play we’ve seen from the team this year.
