Mac & Bone Recap Panthers MNF Loss
Mac & Bone Recap Panthers MNF Loss

After a week hyping up the biggest Panther game in years, the team failed to meet the moment on the field, losing to the 49ers 20-9, as the Panthers are now just 2-10 in primetime games during David Tepper’s ownership. The loss drops Carolina to 6-6, meaning their path to the NFC playoffs will be via the NFC South division, and not as a potential Wild Card, which was possible with a win last night. The loss last night denied the morning show the ability to have a Victory Dance, and led to a show fueled by venting their frustrations, with another loss headlined by inconsistent play.
Mac & Bone start Tuesday’s show, voicing their frustrations after the Panthers lost to the 49ers on MNF, 20-9, and they do a quick recap of news and notes from the college sports world, including an embarrassing loss for Will Wade and NC State, and they play sound from Dave Canales & Bryce Young after the MNF defeat.
In the second hour, Mac & Bone play the blame game after the loss last night, and they start with Dave Canales and his play-calling, they have the conversation everyone wants to have about Bryce Young, after a less than stellar performance last night, and weigh in on the scuffle between Trevon Moehrig and Jauan Jennings.
In the third hour, Mac & Bone open the phone lines, to hear from Panther fans after last night’s loss to the 49ers, as they sound off on Canales, Bryce and others, they have a honest conversation about what the loss means for their playoff hopes, and an fight breaks out between Mac & Fitty when talking about NC State’s loss in the Maui Invitational.
In the final hour, Mac & Bone talk about the coaching and game-planning concerns for Dave Canales, after last night’s loss to the 49ers, John Ellis joins to talk about the state of the team, they preview the night in sports, they read funny texts, & more.
Panther pregame host, John Ellis, joins the show, as John talks about the loss on Monday Night Football, and what stood out to him the most, he gives his thoughts on the inconsistent passing game, & more.
